Bandi is a sustainable clothes swapping app for people who love fashion, and also love the planet.

The Challenge:
Bandi were preparing to launch a new app into the growing market of sustainable fashion apps tackling the fast fashion industry. They had a brand visual identity, but needed to define their market positioning and come up with a story that would differentiate them from their competitors. The market is crowded when it comes to reselling, swapping and borrowing apps so we had to make the Bandi story clear, and stand out to our target market.
How we worked together:
Bandi contracted me to help them define their messaging, positioning and go-to-market launch plan. We carried out market research, surveying their existing users. We used this to define their message pillars which would be the key messages that would become the single thread that ran through all their marketing materials.

Results
We developed internal and external brand messaging and positioning. We launched a new website, Influencer Marketing campaign, PR coverage, paid social media ads, organic social media ads and a community event with fashion writer Lauren Bravo.
After the alpha and beta launch, the app had 3,500+ downloads within the first month post launch.
